The SEPAR LKF range is the perfect choice for high-performance diesel generator sets, lorries, trains, busses, agricultural machinery, off roaders etc. A small, ultra efficient filter which cleans fuel beyond EN590 specification, in terms of particulate and water. Moreover, its a coalescing filter, so will extract both free and emulsified water.
In addition, it has multiple inputs allowing the return fuel line to be re-routed via the filter, extracting condensate water and allowing pre-cleaned fuel to be put back into the engine (meaning you need to change the filter element less often as its using the return line fuel, which has already been cleaned, to feed back to the engine).
BUT, it’s also SMART!
It has RFID security tracking. Every filter and every filter element is uniquely identified and hence secure against forgery via an RFID transponder in the filter lid. These wireless chips can be used to monitor performance and to check if its been serviced or not (You also cant just take an element out and put it back in. Each chip has a unique ID, so the system will know if you are trying to cheat).
For added security, this transponder can also be read when the filter is dirty or has been painted.
In the future, it is envisaged this will allow OEMs to check their filters and ensure only original parts are used.
Furthermore, the use of QR codes on the filter body allows the user to quickly download datasheets and service instructions from the internet.

The LKF range is designed to be a suction side filter (before the fuel pump), however it has been tested up to 4 bar pressure. All LKF series filters have the same functionality.
