Diesel engines today require high quality fuel, which is not always available, fuel containing water and particulate contamination will damage expensive fuel pumps and injectors, thereby reducing the reliability and longevity of your engine.

If you have marine engines, generators, plant or vehicles and want the best possible performance, reliability and life from them, then Separ 2000 range of advanced fuel filter separators are the ideal choice.

Like the market leading Separ KWA series, the Separ 2000 series consists of a cast upper filter element housing, centrifuge and a water 1 particle collecting bowl. However, with the addition of an extra centrifuge and improved range of long life filter elements, the Separ 2000 promises even cleaner fuel, maintaining the efficiency and long operational life of the fuel system.

The innovative design has also reduced considerably the overall size of the Separ 2000 series thus making the installation much easier , and also giving a lower pressure drop (Delta 'P') than practically any other filter available.

Complete cleansing of the fuel is possible thanks to the Separ 2000 series unique five-stage purification and separation process. During the first stage, fuel flows through the stationary aluminium centrifuge, which imparts a rotary, motion to the fuel flow. The fuel exits the centrifuge during the second stage where larger particulate and water droplets are separated into the bottom of the bowl by precipitation.

Stage three has the fuel flowing through the second centrifuge, with the lower vane creating a partial vacuum, drawing smaller droplets and particulate down the vane into the bowl.

Droplets of water and dirt coalesce on the upper surface during the forth stage, and when heavy enough fall back into the bowl.

During the final stage fuel passes vertically through a filter element that removes any remaining water and particulate greater than an optional 10, 30 or 60 microns.

Clean fuel then flows to the engine fuel system, leaving separated particulate contamination and collected water to be drained from the filter bowl via a locking valve.

Unlike other filter separators on the market, the Separ 2000 allows cleaning of the filter element without removal. It is achieved by opening the drain and bleed valves, and allowing the head of clean fuel above the element to flow 'back' through the element. This "scavenging" action releases trapped dirt from the element surface, washing it down into the filter bowl for removal.

The result is extended element life as this operation can be repeated four or five times.
The Separ 200 range is designed for use in any environment, manufactured from high quality non-corroding aluminium alloy, heavy-duty polycarbonate or metal bowls and stainless steel screw, the Separ 2000 series is built to give many years of effective service.

Simplex and duplex systems are available to 7,800 litres per hour with systems up to 25,000 litres per hour (21 m3/hr) with the twin switchable filter assemblies enabling element replacement while the engines are running.

The Separ 2000 range of filters can be fitted to any diesel engine available, we offer 'without obligation' technical advice on any application you may have.
