Fuel Polishing System - overview

The Separ Fuel Polishing System is the only environmental answer to contaminated fuel. If you have experienced engine breakdown, fuel starvation, clogged or blocked filters, waxy deposits in your fuel, water in your fuel or for that matter any other contamination in your diesel (or other middle distillate fuel), then you need the FPS.

Whatever your application (generators, marine vessels, storage tanks, etc) the fuel polishing system is the simple want to ensure you are protected from fuel contamination. By automatically cleaning fuel in storage, you can control and remove bacterial content (the fuel bug) sludge, water and other contaminates - ensuring your fuel is clean and ready for use when you need it most.

The Separ fuel polishing system will extract fuel from your tank, polish (clean) it in several stages and then return it to storage. This recircualting process is the most efficent way to condition, clean and optimise your fuel - ensuring it is ready for use when you need it.

The FPS can process any middle distillate fuels - such as diesel, red diesel, marine diesel, MDO, gas oil, fuel oil, biodiesel etc.

Description

The Fuel Polishing Systems will independently condition and pre-clean the fuel, removing free water, tank sludge and contaminates keeping the diesel fuel in optimum condition.

The problems associated with stored fuel are well known and the damage they can cause to today's sophisticated common rail diesel fuel injection systems that are highly susceptible to any contamination.

Since middle distillate fuel, including modern low sulphur versions, are inherently unstable, the formation of tank sludge and degradation is inevitable in time. Also if water is allowed to collect in the tank through condensation then bacterial contamination is likely to occur.

Having diesel tanks independently pre-cleaned can prevent all of these problems.

The systems are ready to tank or wall mount and once connected up, can be set to run for up to six hours via a simple time switch. The system picks up fuel from the bottom of the storage tank, it is then polished and return to the top of the tank furthermost from the pick up point.

Built in electronics protects the Fuel Polishing System from contamination blocking the unit. Power is automatically switched off and visual indication advises the operator to replace the filter element, re-set the electronics, and recommence fuel cleaning.

Larger Systems
Custom design and build
Other models are available in the range. We can offer systems that process fuel at flow rates of up to 90,000 litres per hour (1,500 lit/min). We offer programmable units, with BMS integration and full self monitoring/protection systems. As these are customised devices, we would disucss and design and functionality on a case by case basis - please ask for details
